Marte: impatto meteorico / Mars: meteorite impact

( HiRISE ) Experiment High Resolution Imaging Science , una fotocamera collegata a  Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter della NASA, ha fotografato nel mese di Novembre 2013 questo impatto meteorico sulla superfice di marte.La fotocamera HiRISE è uno dei sei strumenti sul NASA Orbiter, che è in orbita su Marte dall'inizio del 2006. La fotocamera è stata sviluppata dagli scienziati della University of Arizona ed è la fotocamera orbitante più potente mai utilizzata su un altro pianeta.Il meteorite ha causato un cratere di circa 12 metri , gettando materiale a una distanza di circa 10 miglia. la posizione del nuovo cratere è 3,7 gradi di latitudine nord, 53.4 gradi di longitudine est.

The camera was developed by scientists at the University of Arizona and is the most powerful camera orbiting never used on another pianeta.Il meteorite caused a crater about 12 feet, throwing material at a distance of about 10 miles. the location of the new crater is 3.7 degrees north latitude, 53.4 degrees east longitude.
