Il primo chiaro segno di una lente gravitazionale in una stella binaria è stato scoperto da Ethan Kruse e Eric Agol della University of Washington a Seattle, a circa 2600 anni luce dalla terra nella costellazione della lira. Il sistema binario è formato da una nana bianca,con una massa del 60 percento del sole e un volume non molto più grande della terra, e una stella gemella al sole,il periodo di rivoluzione è di circa 88 giorni.

The first clear sign of a gravitational lens in a binary star was discovered by Ethan Kruse and Eric Agol of the University of Washington in Seattle, in about 2600 light years from Earth in the constellation of the lyre. The binary system is formed by a white dwarf with a mass of 60 percent of the sun and a volume not much larger than the earth, and a companion star to the sun, the orbital period is about 88 days.
