Il dott. Michio Kaku, fisico teorico, ha proposto un’interessante connessione tra il fenomeno del “déjà vu” e l’esistenza di universi paralleli. Il dott. Kaku è impegnato da anni nello studio della “Teoria delle Stringhe”, secondo la quale il tessuto fondamentale dell’Universo sarebbe costituito da oggetti ad una dimensione, simili a stringhe o membrane, in vibrazione: in base alla tensione e alla frequenza di questa vibrazione, verrebbero prodotte e sostenute le particelle elementari. Tutti nella vita abbiamo sperimentato il dèjà vu, una espressione francese che significa “già visto” e che si riferisce alla sensazione che sentiamo quando siamo convinti di aver già vissuto una certa situazione.Secondo la neurologia è un problema tecnico nel sistema mnemonico del nostro cervello, la psicologia è andata oltre legando questo fenomeno a stati emotivi. Ovviamente non mancano spiegazioni sovrannaturali come la chiaroveggenza o religiose come la reincarnazione. Secondo Weinberg esiste un numero infinito di realtà parallele, che convivono con noi. Un parallelismo possibile è con le onde radio: riusciamo a sintonizzarci solo su una stazione radio alla volta, ma in realtà le possibili frequenze sono infinite , questo succede perché le varie frequenze non sono “in fase” fra loro, ossia ogni stazione trasmette il proprio segnale ad una frequenza diversa. Allo stesso modo, nel nostro universo noi siamo “sintonizzati” sulla frequenza che corrisponde alla realtà fisica. Altri universi paralleli, non essendo “in fase”, non vibrano a quella stessa frequenza. Ma quando casualmente invece si trovano “in fase”, allora è teoricamente possibile “saltare da un universo all’altro”.
