Scienza: Gli alieni saranno rilevati entro il 2040 / Science: The aliens are detected by 2040

---------------------------------ENGLISH VERSION-----------------------

Seth Shostak of the SETI researcher for the " Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence ," during a discussion held at Stanford University February 6, 2014 titled NASA Innovative Advanced Concepts , said that extraterrestrial intelligence exists and we find evidence of the existence within the next 25 years. The scientist has come to this conclusion because it is assumed that astronomers have for the time digitized stellar systems sufficient to detect electromagnetic signals produced by alien intelligences . "I think that we'll find ET within two dozen years , these types of experiments ," he said , " Instead of looking at a few thousand star systems , which is the count today , in 25 years we will have looked perhaps a million star systems ," said to LiveScience.com . Shostak is based on the successes of NASA's Kepler space telescope that is on the hunt for exoplanets in the galaxy, with excellent results. Shostak argues that a star out of 5 has at least one planet where life might be possible, which means that there are potentially tens of billions of Earth-like worlds in the galaxy. And if , on some of those worlds , intelligent life exists , it could be that they are doing what we do !
