John Titor: Un brevetto? - John Titor: A patent?

Il 1 ° ottobre 2004 Marlin Pohlman ha depositato una domanda di brevetto per una macchina del tempo a distorsione di gravità basata sugli schemi e le descrizioni fornite dal presunto viaggiatore nel tempo che tutti conosciamo, John Titor. Il brevetto, intitolato " Modalità di distorsione della gravità e  spostamento nel tempo , "è descritto come segue:

"La presente invenzione riguarda l'uso di dispositivi e tecniche per lo spostamento nel tempo, che utilizzano la modifica di campi gravitazionali. Questo permette di viaggiare in tutte le tipologie da deformazioni dello spazio-tempo, in accordo con il teorema di Geroch (Geroch 1967) " Nelle sue parole, Pohlman "ha decodificato" le informazioni e i diagrammi che John Titor ha condiviso durante la sua breve esperienza su vari forum online dal 2000-2001. L'applicazione contiene una descrizione piuttosto lunga di varie idee scientifiche che (egli sostiene) permettere alla macchina di lavorare, tra cui diverse idee su una forma  ipotetica di energia oscura. In ogni caso, quando la domanda di brevetto è stata pubblicata (ed è solo una applicazione, tra l'altro, non è un brevetto ufficiale), ci sono state molte speculazioni  riguardo il fatto che lo stesso  Pohlman potesse essere l'autore dei post di  John Titor e il creatore della sua leggenda.

 Pohlman ha respinto tali affermazioni, e onestamente non c'è ragione di credere che sia legato alla storia in alcun modo; ha detto che voleva solo contribuire con qualcosa di "veramente unico" nella forma del brevetto.
Tuttavia, attualmente il progetto di Pohlman  è congelato dal fatto che l'autore  attualmente sta scontando una condanna a sei anni in una prigione dell'Oregon...
