VIDEO Il pianeta Kapteyn b - VIDEO The planet Kapteyn b

---English Version---
Now we know for a potentially habitable planet five times the size of Earth that has existed for more than twice the land. At only thirteen light-years away, Kapteyn b is now the oldest perhaps rocky planet in a habitable zone. This planet of 5 Earth masses, orbiting rapidly:  once every 48 days or so around its parent star that was discovered in 1890  astronomer and cosmologist Jacob Cornelius Kapteyn, Kapteyn is a red dwarf M1: a small star, the most common type of star in our galaxy. While  Our Sun has a surface temperature of between five and six thousand degrees Kelvin, the surface of Kapteyn's more like 3500 degrees K. Besides being more fresh, Kaptyn is also less massive: about 1/3 of the mass of the sun. Moreover, the star of Kapteyn is probably a bit 'older than our Sun The Star Kapteyn is flying away from us at 245 km per second. E 'in motion  across the sky so fast that in 3500 years will leave the constellation Pictor to get in Dorado, the next constellation to the south-west. Because of its temperature and
speed, Kapteyn is known as a star high-velocity, low-luminosity. These are great goals M dwarf stars in the hunt for extrasolar planets. We can literally see them walk across the sky. The hunt  has improved to the point where we can measure the speed of these particular stars at the level of a meter per second, which corresponds to the walking speed. As a result,  we can detect extrasolar planets a bit 'larger than our earth. Kapteyn b is one of these extrasolar planets. Kapteyn is a better target asthe is incredibly close. There are only two dozen stars closer to us than Kapteyn. "We were surprised to find planets orbiting star Kapteyn," said lead author Dr. Anglada-Escudé from Queen Mary University School of Physics and Astronomy in London. "The previous data have shown some moderate excess of variability, so we looked for new planets." Of the two, Kapteyn b is the only one in the habitable zone. Kapteyn c, with at least 7 Earth masses, it can be a rocky body as well, but astronomers suspect that it is too far away from the surface dim red dwarf star to have liquid water. It remains to be seen whether the atmosphere of one of these planets contain water. To know for sure,  astronomers would need to see planets that pass directly in front of their parent star.
