I Fisici per salvare Da Vinci - Physicists to save Da Vinci

The well-known self-portrait of Leonardo Da Vinci is disappearing. The famous self-portrait has faded and you are covering dark spots . Now , the dark reason behind this deterioration , has finally been unveiled and hope that the masterpiece you can save is more concrete . A study was conducted by physicists with a hands-off approach that examined how the light passes through the portrait and how it propagates in contact with it. The portrait was developed during the early 1500s and for centuries has been preserved in conditions of extreme poverty. The paper is damaged by light, moisture, microorganisms and pollution , all of which can lead to yellowing and deterioration. The researchers studied the portrait deeply to determine if degradation is slowed down now that the design is under controlled conditions. The oxidation in the self was probably caused by extreme humidity or a closed environment - consistent with the documented history of the design. According to the researcher Adriano Mosca Conte of the University of Rome Tor Vergata in Italy , the ability to analyze the state of degradation of old paper is a valuable tool to store and save not only this work of art, but many others.

Allarme radioattivo in Svizzera -radioactive alarm in Switzerland.

A highly radioactive substance that emits radiation in some places up to 100 times the allowed amount , was discovered in Switzerland, the local media reported on Sunday, adding that the authorities had known for 18 months. The Weekly Swiss Le Matin Dimanche and SonntagsZeitung reported that federal officials , regional and local authorities have decided not to reveal the fact that they had found deposits of radio in an old landfill in the city of Bienne so as not to frighten 50,000. "120 kg of radioactive waste have been found after sorting . We measured doses of several hundreds of microsieverts at the source, " Daniel Dauwalder , a spokesman for the Federal Office of Public Health ( BAG) , told Le Matin Dimanche . In some places, measures were taken of 300 microsieverts per hour , more than 100 times the amount allowed for an old landfill. The exposition for three hours at that level of radiation would be equivalent to the level tolerable for an entire year . The waste came from a paint used by the watch to light up the numbers on the dials of watches. The substance , which has been banned since 1963 because of its radioactive nature , was discovered when road works were undertaken at the site. The BAG has judged the risk to public health "weak" , although SonntagsZeitung said field trials will begin next month . Health authorities have bounced the blame for the failure to communicate to the public back and forth, with local officials saying that the OFSP should have informed the public about the incident, and the OFSP saying that the responsibility belonged to the municipal authorities . The chairman of the federal commission in charge of radiation monitoring (CPR) , which has not been informed of the incident , said that the various authorities had made a " mistake." " This will make it difficult to remain credible and regain the confidence of the public ," said Francois Bochud Le Matin Dimanche .

First observation of a massive eruption of solar

The researchers say that the Tunguska event was a UFO Crash : Total residues of an Alien Spaceship ?
The members of the scientific expedition of the state Siberian Tunguska f were able to discover the blocks of an extraterrestrial technical device , that crashed on Earth June 30, 1908 , moreover, the expedition members found the so-called " deer" - . The stone, which Tunguska eyewitnesses have repeatedly
mentioned in their stories. The explorers were handed a piece of 50 kg stone to the city of Krasnoyarsk to be studied and analyzed . The expedition left for Evenkia , in order to solve the mystery behind the popular phenomenon known as Tungus meteorite. The expedition, organized by the Siberian Publ State Foundation " Tunguska Space Phenomenon " has completed its work at the scene of the impact of the Tunguska meteorite
dropped on August 9. It was the first expedition in the region since 2000. Guided by the photo space , the researchers scanned a large territory in the vicinity of the village  Poligusa from where it was observed that the space object crashed into the Earth in 1908. The Tunguska event was an explosion airline that occurred near the Tunguska River in Siberia, June 30, 1908 . The explosion felled 60 million trees  2150 square kilometers. On that day , local residents observed a huge fireball , almost as bright as the Sun , moving across the sky. few  minutes later, a flash that lit up half the sky , followed by a shock wave that broke windows up to 400 miles away. The explosion registered on seismic stations across Eurasia , has produced changes in atmospheric pressure strong enough to be detected by barographs recently invented in Britain. In the United States , the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory and the Mount Wilson Observatory observed a decrease in atmospheric transparency that lasted  for several months.
Until this year the members of numerous expeditions have failed to find any remains of the object that caused the event .
